Tinea (Ringworm)

 

 If you have tinea or ringworm, you can try the following Folk therapies:

(1). Garlic paste

Material: Garlic, some amount.

Preparation: Grind the garlic into mud or paste. Mix with Vasoline or vegetable oil.

How to use: Cut hair on the head (for head ringworm), smear the paste onto the affected skin. Change new paste once a day or once every two days. People will feel warm on the skin.

Function: It is for head ringworm, white ringworm and yellow ringworm.

(2). Pig gallbladder juice and realgar (Xiong Huang)

Material: Pig gallbladder juice, some; realgar, 15g;

Preparation: Add the realgar into the gallbladder juice, mix well, smear it onto the affected skin area. Once a day.

(3). Cigarette leaves

Material: Cigarette leaves, 150 g.

Preparation: Add the cigarette leaves into 100 ml of water, cook for 30 min. Smear the extract onto the affected skin area. Two to three times a day.

(4). Millet Bran (kang) oil

Material: Millet bran oil.

How to use: Smear the oil onto the affected skin. Two to three times a day.

(5). Water chestnuts (Bo ji)

Material: Remove the shell of the water chestnuts. Grind it into mud. Smear the water chestnut mud on to the affected skin.

(6). Sugar cane bulk.

Material: Sugar cane bulk (skin), some; sesame oil, some.

Preparation: Burn the sugar cane bulk into ash. Grind into thin powder. Mix the ash with sesame oil into paste. Smear the paste onto the affected skin area. Smear it twice a day.

(7). Tomato mud

Material: Tomato, some.

Preparation: Peel the skin of tomato, grind into mud. Smear onto the affected skin area. Cover with plastic paper, fold with gauze. Smear five times a day.

(8). Rice vinegar

Material: Rice vinegar, some.

How to use: Add vinegar into iron pot. Bring the vinegar to boil over fire. Smear the vinegar to the affected skin with the help of cotton. Repeat more times a day.

Note: this way is also good for loss of hair due to the tinea.

(9). Vinegar and eggs

Material: Fresh egg, some; Vinegar, some amount.

How to use: Rinse the eggs into vinegar for several days. Take them out, remove the egg shells, mix the remaining into paste. Smear onto the affected area.

This folk tip is also good for the treatment of psoriasis and Neurodermatitis.

(10). Chinese chives and pig oil

Material: Chinese chives and pig oil, some for each.

How to us: Put the Chinese chives onto a tile. Put it over fire to dry the chives. Grind the chives into powder. Mix it with pig oil and make it into paste. Smear onto the affected skin.

This folk tip is mostly used for very difficult tinea.

(11). Chinese chives and garlic

Material: Chinese chives and garlic, 50 g, each.

How to use: Grind the chives and garlic into mud. Warm it over fire. Smear onto the affected skin. Repeat one to two times a day for several days.

This folk tip is also good for psoriasis and allergic dermatitis.

(12). Cow’s toe shell.

Material: Cow’s toe shell, 30g; sesame oil, some.

How to use: Burn the shell into ash. Grind into thin powder. Mix it with sesame oil and make them into paste. Smear the paste onto the affected skin. Apply it once a day and repeat for half month.

This folk tip is good for psoriasis in any part of the body.

(13). Apricot kernel and vinegar

Material: Apricot kernel, 15g; vinegar, 250g.

How to use: Grind the apricot kernel into powder, mix with vinegar. Bring to fire to boiling. Smear the hot vinegar onto the affected skin. Smear once a day for continuously three days. Then, repeat once every other day for another total three days.

(14). Tofu and sesame

Material: tofu, 250g; sesame, some.

How to use: Steam the tofu over water for 30 to 60 min. Dry the tofu in anyway over the oven. Grind it into powder, mix with sesame. Smear the paste onto the affected skin. Repeat every day for some days.

(15). Tofu and sulphur

Material: Tofu, 250g; sulphur, 50g.

How to use: Dry the tofu under sunshie, fry (without oil) till it turns yellow in color. Grind it into powder and mix with sulphur powder. Smear the powder onto the affected skin.

This folk tip is used for abscess scabies.

(16). Longan kernel and pepper

Material: Longan kernel, 6 pieces; pepper, 27 grains.

How to use: Grind the longan kernel and the pepper into powder. Apply onto the affected skin when there is sweat on the skin.

This folk tip is good for the treatment of various scabies and for body odor (bromhidrosis).
