If the Heart is damaged, upon tired, the person feels red in the face and heavy in the lower part of the body, feels heart pain and annoyed/impatient, fever, and feels jumping on the naval, all with deep pulse. Such condition is due to the hurt of the Heart. [4]

If the Heart is hurt, the person cries without any clear reason. The cry makes the spirit moving, flying, and flowing. This condition is due to the Blood deficiency and Qi deficiency, which again belongs to the Heart. With the Heart Qi deficiency, the person feels scaring. When close his eyes to sleep, he will dream spirit traveling away with scared dreams. If the Yin Qi is insufficient, the person acts as Madness (He beats others, damages furniture, etc.). The pulse indicates the death of the Kidney system: floating the hard, feels as turning pills. If such pulse is more felt in the Chi position, the person is to die.

问曰:三焦竭部,上焦竭,善噫,何谓也?师曰:上焦受中焦气,未和,不能消谷,故能噫耳。下焦竭,即遗溺失便,其气不和,不能自禁制,不须治,久则愈。

Asked: If the three Jiao Cavity is depleted, and if the upper Jiao Cavity is depleted, the person feels burping, why? Master: The upper Jiao gets the Qi from the middle Jiao Cavity. If there is no enough Qi from the middle Jiao to nourish the upper Jiao, the upper Jiao fails to warm the food, so the person has gas/air moving up to cause the burping. If the lower Jiao Cavity is depleted, the person has leak in the urine and stool, since the lower Jiao fails to control the urine and stool movement.

Master: if there is Fire in the upper Jiao Cavity, the person has Feiwei disease; if the Fire is in the middle Jiao Cavity, the person has fullness and solid abdomen; if the Fire is in the lower Jiao Cavity, the person has urine bleeding, harsh in the urine. If the large intestine has Cold, the person usually has loss bowel movement; if it has Fire, there will be constipation with sticky stool or pus in the stool. If the small intestine has Cold, there is bleeding in the stool with urgent feeling inside the anus for bowel movement. If there is Fire in the small intestine, the person has hemorrhoid.

Asked: there are Ji disease, Ju disease, and Qi disease, what do they mean? Master: For the Ji disease, the disease is in the solid organs. The mass/neoplasm (such as cancer or carcinoma, etc.) is always there, and does not move to other place. Ju disease means the mass is in a hollow organ. It comes and goes from time to time, not always stay in the same place.  A Ju disease is relatively easier to solve than a  Ji disease. A Qi disease means the problem comes with the bowel move in the abdomen. It can be solved with press. The principle for the Ji disease: the pulse is thin and attaches deep to the bone. The position of such pulse can indicate the location of the Ji disease: If it is felt on the Chun position, it suggests the Ji disease is in the chest. If it is felt little bit down the Chun position: the Ji disease is in the throat; if it is felt on the Guan position, the Ji disease is in and around the naval; if it is felt little bit upper the Guan position, the Ji disease is in the stomach area; if it is felt little bit down the Guan position, the Ji disease is in the lower stomach. If it is felt little bit down the Chi position, the Ji disease is in the lower stomach area. If such pulse is felt on the left side of the wrist, the Ji disease is in the left side of the body; and it is felt on the right wrist, the disease is in the right side of the body; if it is felt in both side, the Ji disease is in the middle part of the body.

[1] The Xieqi is strong in the Liver (wood), the Wood is against the Spleen (the Soil). The Soil (the Spleen) is associated to sweet. So the spleen needs the sweet to save itself.

[2] 有言:不能起,心中饥,食即呕吐,诸条与此不符.

[3] In original version, it is string pulse.

[4] It should be considered the Heart hurt condition if the person feels hot face with beating feeling on the naval.
